Here is some of the history of Mesa Verde that we learned about at various points around the park...
from the mesa-top villages to the fantastic cliff dwellings and the importance of certain structures.
I don't know if everything I was looking at was original or rebuilt, but my fascination with history had me looking at each stone, each hole, etc.,
and wondering what the person who had placed it there was thinking at the time.
What a great experience.
